The "What's Right With The Region!" awards celebration was held at the Sheldon Concert Hall on Wednesday, May 7, 2008. This year's event was co-chaired by two of the community's top business leaders: David Steward, Chairman and CEO of World Wide Technology, Inc., and Doug Yaeger, Chairman, President, and CEO at the Laclede Group, Inc. FOCUS St. Louis was honored by the continued support of media sponsors KMOV-TV, KMOX-AM, and the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
Each year this event showcases the successes of individuals and organizations who are making the bi-state region a better place to live, work, and learn. Each year, 20 honorees are chosen, four in each of the five categories below.
