As Vice President of Programs, Julie manages implementation and evaluation of FOCUS’s portfolio of leadership programs as well as directs the Coro Women In Leadership program. She also develops and executes alumni relations programs and provides strategic oversight for civic engagement efforts for the organization.
Julie is a graduate of Coro Women In Leadership – Class 40 and has served as trainer and consultant to the program for four years. She has more than 17 years experience in nonprofit leadership and management, previously serving as President and CEO of the Crime Victim Advocacy Center and as Executive Director for the Women’s Foundation of Greater St. Louis.
Her previous experience includes operating her own consulting group for seven years, where she provided strategic planning, board development, membership, fundraising, marketing and management support to more than 50 nonprofits.
Julie received bachelor’s degrees in Mass Communications and Musical Theatre from Missouri Valley College and holds a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership and Communications from Lindenwood University. She also earned an MBA Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership from Washington University in St. Louis. She is a Certified Trainer for Diversity and Cultural Awareness in volunteer programs through the U.S. Department of Justice, a Certified Leadership Practices Inventory Facilitator and Graduate of the Nonprofit Services Leadership Academy for Executive Directors.
