  • Assisted Special School District (SSD) in a comprehensive public engagement process involving personal interviews, focus groups, written surveys, staff/committee coordination, and producing a communications and public relations plan.


  • A Federal grant allowed Jefferson College to contract with FOCUS St. Louis in 2003 to conduct a community engagement process for Jefferson County.FOCUS researched and produced a report, "Jefferson County Today" which defined key trends in population, housing, education, transportation, utilities, governance, health, and public safety.FOCUS conducted seven focus groups and a telephone survey of 614 Jefferson County residents.A final town meeting was held to release the findings in February 2004.


  • Designed and implemented a "Kids First" community education campaign around the needs of families and children for the St. Charles County Children and Family Services Authority.


  • FOCUS recruited and trained 180 volunteers to serve as facilitators and recorders, in 24 community forum sessions, to assist St. Louis 2004 in gathering feedback and comments from over 1,500 citizens in the 12-county region as input into the development of the 2004 Community Action Plan.


  • Partnered with local experts to facilitate nearly 50 public meetings and focus groups to gather input to develop a citizen-driven regional plan for the Metropolitan Park & Recreation District.
