| Charles Stewart is the owner of Charles A. Stewart Jr. CPA firm started in 1980. As an accounting, income tax, and financial and resource management professional, Stewart has provided more than 35 years of financial leadership and accountability to some of the largest private, public, and nonprofit organizations in the St. Louis metropolitan area. He has provided services to the Office of the License Collector, City of St. Louis; Civic Progress; St. Louis Public Schools; Clay Jr. for Office; Citizens for Home Rule; Amalgamated Transit Union Division 788 A.F.L.-C.I.O.-C.L.C.; Lambert Airport; City of St. Louis; City of East St. Louis; St. Louis County Special Schools; U.S. Small Business Administration; and the St. Louis Public Schools. Stewart started his career with Arthur Young & Company as a staff accountant in 1973. In 1977, he joined General Dynamics Corporation as an internal Audit Administrator, and then in 1980 he started his own firm.
Stewart currently is a member of the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants, AmericaScores, and St. Louis Community Empowerment Foundation. He has held positions on the board, executive committee, finance and audit committees, and development committee for United Way of Greater St. Louis.
