A report in today's St. Louis Post-Dispatch claims the gap in generations is one of the biggest yet recorded. A whopping 80 percent of people surveyed say there are major differences in the beliefs and lifestyles of younger people and older people. That's the highest it's been since the Vietnam war. Even then, that number only reached 74 percent. The biggest differences cited were based on religion, lifestyle and a sense of entitlement.
I think this is pretty accurate. I admit I would be one of the eight saying there are big differences. I would also add however, that it is easier to find our differences than our similarities.
I'm interested to know what our members think. Does today's youth have fewer morals than their forebears? Do they feel more entitled, or is it all just a change in our points of view?
