  • Youth Leadership St. Louis is on TV!

See our students in action on television. This year the Youth Leadership St. Louis (YLSL) program partnered with the Higher Education Channel

(HEC-TV) to bring our students and the St. Louis community a unique experience. 162 students helped create, shape and film a new program called "The Scope." This is not your typical teen television program. The topics aren't jeans, phones and movies. They're hard-hitting, real-life topics that are affecting the St. Louis region right now. You will hear the next generation of leaders in our community discuss issues that are affecting all of us today.

Two episodes of the show aired on HEC-TV in April and May 2010 and are available online. Click here or follow the link below to watch! http://www.hectv.org/programs/ser/thescope/index.php

  • Reconciliation: The Power to Create Positive Community Change February Workshop
On the eve of the first free democratic elections in South Africa in 1993, a mob attacked and killed a young humanitarian worker named Amy Biehl based on skin color. Years later, Amy's parents not only participated in gaining amnesty for some of Amy's attackers, they also later hired them to carry on Amy's work. In this video Amy's mother Linda Biehl and two of the men, Ntobeko Peni and Easy Nofemela, discuss their work at the Amy Biehl Foundation and how the St. Louis region might benefit from the spirit of reconciliation.
